Côte d'Ivoire: CEPICI Courts Chinese Investors to Accelerate Country's Industrialization
Solange Amichia, Managing Director of the Centre de Promotion des Investissements en Côte d'Ivoire (CEPICI), presented investment opportunities linked to Côte d'Ivoire's industrialization ambition from September 20 to 23, 2026, in Hefei, China's Anhui province, before Chinese and international economic players gathered for the World Manufacturing Convention 2026, according to RTI Info. The Ivorian presence was facilitated by the Huizhou International Economic and Trade Cooperation Alliance (HIETCA), created in 2024 by Chinese groups including manufacturer CHERY and company CREC4, with the support of banks, technological universities, and the Anhui Department of Commerce. A dedicated structure, Anhui Yunkedi Holding CI, now represents the Alliance in Côte d'Ivoire. The Ivorian delegation, led by Ambassador Abou Dosso, included a representative from the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Crafts and Soro Songui, representative of SOGEDI. Discussions focused on PND 2026-2030 projects and SOGEDI industrial zones between PK103 and PK120, along the Northern Highway. A Côte d'Ivoire-China economic forum is scheduled from December 3 to 5, 2026, in Abidjan. Anhui, which transitioned in a decade from an agricultural economy to a Chinese industrial and technological hub, serves as a model championed by CEPICI.
