Côte d'Ivoire: CEPICI targets Chinese industrialists in Hefei to boost PND 2026-2030

The Director General of the Centre de promotion des investissements en Côte d'Ivoire (CEPICI), Solange Amichia, led an Ivorian delegation to the World Manufacturing Convention 2026, held from September 20 to 23 in Hefei, in China's Anhui province, to present the country's investment opportunities to Chinese industrialists. The delegation highlighted the Plan national de développement (PND) 2026-2030, which aims to raise industry's contribution to 30% of Ivorian GDP. High-level discussions with Chinese authorities yielded several avenues for cooperation: the establishment of major Chinese industrial groups in Côte d'Ivoire, the upcoming creation of a Sino-Ivorian Chamber of Commerce, and the strengthening of technical training and technology transfer. Factory visits and B2B meetings organized by the HIETCA network focused on electric vehicles, artificial intelligence, textiles, robotics, agro-industry, and water infrastructure, according to RTI reports. This mission paves the way for the Côte d'Ivoire-China Economic Forum, scheduled for December 3 to 5, 2026, in Abidjan, which CEPICI intends to use to turn initial contacts into concrete projects.
