Cameroon strengthens its response against cholera

Cameroon has stepped up its response to a cholera outbreak affecting four districts in the Far North region, reports Sputnik Africa: 166 cases have been reported, including ten confirmed deaths, and approximately 60% of patients arrive at a severe stage of the disease. Cross-border coordination has been established with Chad, Nigeria, and the Central African Republic. According to the article, Cameroonian authorities have requested vaccines from their international partners to curb the spread of the epidemic.
