African economy projected to outpace Asia in 2026, says UN

According to the United Economic Commission, based on IMF figures, sub-Saharan Africa's average growth is projected to reach 4.6% in 2026, surpassing that of Asian economies combined, estimated at around 4.1%. This differential would mark a turning point in the global growth hierarchy, driven by domestic demand, infrastructure investments, and the recovery of several major economies on the continent. According to Sputnik Afrique, which relays this UN analysis, this dynamism remains uneven from one country to another and will depend on states' ability to curb inflation and debt.
