Mali: Minister of Trade Convenes Chamber of Commerce to Discuss Ramadan 2027, Russia-Africa Forum, and Malikro
Malian Minister of Industry and Trade, Dialo, met on Monday, September 21, with the board of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Mali (CCIM) to discuss the country's economic challenges, according to a video broadcast by Mali-Online TV. Three main topics were on the agenda: market supplies during Ramadan 2027, the economic forum held alongside the Russia-Africa summit in October 2026, and the Malikro investment forum scheduled for December 11 and 12, 2026, under the patronage of the Head of State. On the first point, the ministry and the CCIM discussed renewing the coordination mechanisms already activated in 2024, 2025, and 2026 to ensure the availability, accessibility, and price stability of essential goods during Lent. Regarding the Russian component, the goal is to form a "high-quality and representative" Malian delegation for the October forum, which the Head of State is scheduled to attend, in order to present coherent projects to investors. The international Malikro forum aims to mobilize operators worldwide around the financing of structuring projects in Mali. The country is also invited to an international investment forum in Geneva in November, where the Malian private sector will present its own portfolios.
